Clifton Suspension Bridge

The world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge was designed by the great Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Brunel was a young and innovative engineer. He was 24 when he was appointed for the project which came about through a competition. Brunel described the bridge as ‘my first child, my darling’, and the ingenious bridge, which took 33 years to complete, marked the beginning of a great engineering career.

Bristol Zoo Gardens

Clifton Arcade

Situated in the heart of Clifton Village, this unique and beautiful Victorian shopping arcade houses some of the mostshopping in Bristol.

Originally opened in 1878, it later fell into disuse but has recently been restored and now houses a community of small shops. There really is something for everyone in the Clifton Arcade. And to round it off the popular Primrose Cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere with freshly prepared food available all day.
